Education Activities for Nurses and Other Health Care Providers
Selected members of the Miami Children's Hospital staff and the Department of Education and Professional Development have designed a variety of continuing education programs to acquaint the health care provider with current trends and clinical issues in health care.
General Registration Information:
Pre-registration is required in advance for all participants. To register or to cancel a registration, please contact the Department of Education and Professional Development by e-mail or by calling (305) 666-6511, extension 2767, Monday through Friday.
The Department of Education and Professional Development reserves the right to cancel a program anytime due to insufficient enrollment. All registrants will be notified.
Program fees/costs are listed for each specific program.
Continuing Education Credits:
Miami Children's Hospital is an approved provider of continuing education for Nursing (Provider #FBN 2161), Occupational Therapy (Provider #74), Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling (Provider #CM294), Respiratory Therapy (#RCE 103), and Laboratory (JP 296). Credits will be provided for other disciplines depending on specific board requirements.
A certificate of attendance will be provided following the completion of each program as proof of attendance. It is the responsibility of the individual to retain all certificates in case of an audit.
In order to receive credits, all licensed personnel are required to present their license number at time of program registration.
